A New Weekly Challenge
I've been trying to think of something a little different for our weekly blog, and I kept coming back to one thought: Sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference.
We often think making a difference means doing something big. But most of the time, it's the little things we remember.
A kind word, A phone call, Someone telling you they're praying for you, A person who noticed when you needed someone to talk to. A simple “thank you,” “I'm glad you're here,” or “I appreciate you.”
None of those things take much time. They don't cost anything. And we may never even know how much they meant to the person who received them.
So, for the next several weeks, I thought we could try something together.
I'm calling it Small Things. Big Difference.
Each week, I'll share one simple challenge—something all of us can do to encourage someone, show kindness, strengthen a relationship, or simply let another person know they matter.
Nothing complicated. Nothing that requires a lot of time.
Just one small thing each week.
My hope is that we don't just read the challenge and move on with our day. Let's actually try it and see what happens.
Galatians 6:9 reminds us:
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
We may never know the impact of the small things we do for others. But God does. So, let's see what kind of difference we can make—one small thing at a time.
Week 1 Challenge: Say the Words
Have you ever thought something kind about someone but never actually said it?
This week, let's change that. Don't just think the kind thought—say it.
Choose one person and tell them something you appreciate about them. It might take you only a few seconds to say. But your words could change the direction of someone's entire day.
