September always feels a little like a fresh start. Summer vacations are winding down, school is back in session, and many of us are settling into more regular routines.  It can also be a good time to ask ourselves: Where does church fit into my routine?

Life gets busy. Work, family, sports, appointments, and everything else on the calendar can quickly take over. Sometimes we don't intentionally drift away—we simply get busy.  That's why September can be a wonderful season to reconnect.

Reconnecting might mean returning to Sunday worship, joining a Bible study, singing with the choir, helping with a ministry, attending a fellowship event, or simply staying a few extra minutes after church to visit with someone.

It can also mean helping someone else feel connected.

Welcome to Muncie Baptist!

Our Creative Arts Team is placing a special emphasis on welcoming visitors and those returning to Muncie Baptist Church. We want everyone who walks through our doors to know that we're glad they're here.

If you bring a visitor—or notice someone visiting—please make sure they receive one of our new Welcome Bags! Better yet, take a moment to introduce yourself, help them find their way around, or invite them to sit with you.

A Welcome Bag is a small gesture, but sometimes it's the personal welcome that someone remembers most.  And if there's someone you haven't seen at church in a while, September might be the perfect time to reach out with a simple, "We've missed you. We'd love to see you."

“Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
Romans 15:7

As we begin this fresh season, let's not only reconnect ourselves—let's help someone else feel connected, welcomed, and at home at Muncie Baptist Church.
