Father’s Day is a special time to celebrate the men who have guided, encouraged, protected, and supported us throughout our lives. Just like Mother’s Day reminds us that love and influence are not limited to biology, Father’s Day can remind us of the many father figures God places in our path.

Not all fathers are biological fathers. Some are grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, coaches, pastors, teachers, mentors, neighbors, or family friends. They are the men who showed up when we needed encouragement, wisdom, discipline, laughter, or simply someone to believe in us.

As we celebrate Father’s Day at Muncie Baptist Church, take a moment to reflect on the men who have been influential in your life. Who helped shape your character? Who prayed for you? Who offered guidance during difficult seasons? Who showed you what faithfulness, kindness, and strength look like?

Sometimes the greatest impact comes from the quiet examples of everyday faithfulness — a conversation after church, a helping hand during a hard time, or someone consistently pointing us toward Christ.

This Father’s Day, we encourage you to thank those influential men in your life. A phone call, a card, a visit, or even a simple “thank you” can mean more than you realize.

We also remember that Father’s Day can bring mixed emotions for some. For those missing a father, longing to be a father, or carrying difficult memories, know that God sees you, loves you, and walks with you. Our church family stands beside you as well.

May we continue to encourage and uplift the men in our church and community as they lead, serve, and influence future generations.

We look forward to celebrating Father’s Day together in church on Sunday and honoring the many men who make a difference in the lives of others every day.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6
