Faith is not only something we experience on Sunday mornings — it is something that can be lived out each day in our homes, conversations, and everyday moments together as families.
At Muncie Baptist Church, we know that families today often juggle busy schedules, work, activities, school events, and responsibilities. In the middle of all the busyness, even small moments centered on faith can make a lasting impact.
Faith at home does not have to be complicated. It can be as simple as praying together before meals, sharing a Bible verse, talking about blessings from the day, attending church together, or taking time to encourage one another through difficult moments.
As my older two children have “left the nest,” I have realized how much those small family moments truly mattered. The prayers before dinner, prayers before bed, and simply being together in church on Sundays helped build a foundation of faith that continues today. Now, even as adults living their own lives, they still text us and members of our church family asking for prayers for situations they are facing. What has been especially meaningful is seeing them follow up later with updates, sharing how God answered prayers or helped guide them through difficult moments.
It has been a reminder that faith planted in everyday moments often continues growing long after children become adults. The simple habits we create as families can leave lasting impressions that carry into future generations.
Some of the strongest memories families carry are not always the big events, but the small everyday moments spent together — conversations around the table, prayers before bedtime, serving others, or simply knowing there is love and support at home.
Church also becomes an extension of that family support. Through worship, youth activities, fellowship gatherings, Vacation Bible School, and friendships formed within the church, families can grow stronger together in faith and community.
No family is perfect, and no home has all the answers. But when faith becomes part of everyday life, it creates a foundation of hope, love, grace, and encouragement that carries through every season.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
— Joshua 24:15
May we continue encouraging faith not only within our church walls, but also within our homes and families each day.

Great article. Everything should begin/learned at home. This gives our children the foundation for how to live their life in this difficult world we live in. Going to church solidifies our faith and having a church family gives a sense of belonging to a loving community with no judgement.
